Open GitLab using Public IP of your instance. Then login using username as root and password as your instance id.

Now, Click on this icon to access admin panel.

Click on Applications.

Next, Go over to Kanboard and press edit button.

Now, replace the old ip with public ip of your instance and click submit.

Copy the Application ID and Secret in a text file as we will need these details further in our setup. Remember to paste it in the text file as there may be blankspaces with it.

Now in new tab in browser, enter your public ip with port 8000 to see Kanboard. Your url must look something like this: http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8000

You will then see a login screen, enter admin as username and admin as password.

Go over to the right corner of the kanboard console and click on the round icon with A letter in it and then, click on Settings.

Next, Click on Integrations.

Enter your Gitlab Client Id(Application Id) and Gitlab Client Secret(Secret) that you had copied earlier in step 6. Also, Change the ip in Gitlab Authorize URL, Gitlab Token URL and Gitlab API URL with the public ip of your instance and Click Save.

After saving the changes, Click on the round icon with letter A inside it, in the right top corner and Click Logout.

Now, you will see a login screen, Click on Login with my Gitlab Account.

You are done with integrating Kanboard.
